Description
We are seeking a specialist Survey Technician to join our Service Delivery & Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical delivery of customer network solutions for our B2B clients. Your primary duties will involve conducting site surveys, provisioning complex network services such as MPLS IPVPNs, SDWAN, and Cloud Voice, and configuring Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). You will coordinate extensively with third-party vendors and internal departments to ensure service requests are delivered efficiently and within agreed KPI and OLA commitments. This position is critical to maintaining customer satisfaction and trust by ensuring high-quality, timely network installations. The ideal candidate will excel at educating customers on technical requirements, resolving network issues, and providing detailed reports to management. You will be a key player in upholding our service standards and contributing to the success of our Business customers.
Requirements
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience with MPLS IP services and Voice services CPE provisioning and troubleshooting.
2. Strong skillset and experience with IP Networking, L2/L3 Protocols, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, POTN, SDH, and FTTX.
3. Good knowledge and hands-on experience with routers and switches hardware from vendors like Cisco and Huawei.
4. Proficiency with networking tools such as traffic analysers, fiber optic power meter, and Ethernet testers.
5. Demonstrable experience in customer site readiness, surveying, and physical network preparation.
6. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent progressive experience in B2B Telco environments.
7. Minimum CCNA or an equivalent networking certification is mandatory.
8. Proven physical network troubleshooting skills in complex environments.
Desirable
1. ITIL or BICSI certification is a strong advantage.
2. Experience with CRM and reporting tools such as Siebel, ERP, or Qlik.
3. Excellent customer relationship management skills.
4. Proficiency in creating technical documentation and operational process guides.
5. Flexibility to work varied hours when required to meet project deadlines.
